Rollout and Availability

The former “Memory” feature provided users with control capabilities over the data that ChatGPT stored. The user interface included a checkbox that enabled individuals to activate or deactivate this feature based on their preferences. The feature was turned off automatically for any conversations started through the “Temporary Chat” option, giving users an incognito-like experience where conversation data was not stored. The previous system enabled users to maintain some level of supervision over stored AI information.
